Instructors for Great River T'ai Chi
Scott Allan has been studying with Caroline Ross since 2003 and has completed many workshops with Mark Raudva. Scott is a great communicator and helps teach at all classes as well as running his own class at Oldmeldrum. He assisted Caroline at Inverurie classes in 2006. scott@greatrivertaichi.co.uk
Evelyn Cairns is Caroline's longest standing student having been studying with her since 2002. She has attended many workshops with Mark as well as workshops with John Kells in 2006. She set up and teaches the Huntly, Elgin and Gartly classes and helps instruct at other classes with great energy. ev@greatrivertaichi.co.uk
Davina Gray has been studying with Caroline since 2003 and has completed many workshops with Mark. She studied with John Kells at workshops in 2006 and is currently learning shiatsu at Aberdeen College of Shiatsu. Davina teaches the Turriff class and organises Caroline's sessions as well as the day-to-day running of the School in Aberdeenshire. She has assisted Caroline regularly and teaches beginners and intermediates with sensitivity and insight. davina@greatrivertaichi.co.uk
Paolo Marioni has been studying with Caroline since 2003 and has completed many workshops with Mark. He studied with John Kells at a workshop in 2006. He teaches the Inverurie class and has assisted Caroline on many occasions, often being the 'test model' for demonstrating applications with great humour. paolo@greatrivertaichi.co.uk
Rob Truscott helps instruct beginners with real energy at Hackney Round Chapel and also at CSSD. He has studied T'ai Chi with Caroline for over two years and with other Yang Style teachers before that.
Chris Sansom has studied T'ai Chi at the Round Chapel in Hackney since 1999, first with Steven Moore, then with Verne Crawford and now with Caroline. He helps instruct the Short Form students at Caroline's sessions. Chris's background is as a composer, and has had various pieces performed, recorded and broadcast over the years. Jonathan Monks has been studying with Caroline since 2007 and also attends T'ai Chi Centre classes and workshops. Already a top yoga teacher and bodyworker, Jonathan will now also be teaching beginners' T'ai Chi classes in East and Central London. jonathanmonks [at] mac [dot] com
Other Instructors
Neil Dey is a practitioner and teacher of Shiatsu at Aberdeen College of Shiatsu and a T'ai Chi teacher in the Deeside area of Aberdeenshire. He studied Yang Style T'ai Chi Form for some time before joining us. He began studying with Caroline and Mark in 2005 and has attended all the workshops held since then. Neil runs his own classes at Finzean and assists at any Great River classes that he attends with a special passion for partner work. neil@finzeanab31.fsnet.co.uk
David Knightis Caroline's T'ai Chi brother and has been a fellow student at The T'ai Chi Centre since 2001. He helped run Great River for six months in 2005/6 and has generously stepped in to teach London classes and an Aberdeenshire weekend when Caroline has been unavailable. David teaches privately in sessions in London. He assists Mark at his classes and takes the London sessions when Mark is in Aberdeenshire teaching. taichi@davidknightdesign.com
